“Aloha” Baked Spareribs

  • 3 lbs. Spareribs
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped green pepper
  • 16 oz Canned Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup White House Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 ½ cups pineapple tidbits with juice
  • ½ tsp dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Cut ribs into serving pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Place in shallow pan, bake at 450 degrees for 1/2 hour. Caution: HOT! Pour off excess fat.
  3. Pour off excess fat.
  4. Reduce heat to 350 degrees.
  5. Mix together the rest of the ingredients (including White House Apple Cider Vinegar) and pour over the ribs.
  6. Bake for 1-1/2 hours.
  7. Baste frequently by spooning mixture over ribs.

  1. In saucepan, combine first 4 ingredients.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Add shrimp; stir gently
  4. Cover; steam until tender, approximately 10 minutes per pound for small, 20 minutes per pound for large shrimp.
  5. Drain and remove shell and vein on back. 
  6. Leave the shrimp to cool and serve over salad or rice.
